First off, I am 8.5-9 (I have exactly the same number of shoes in each size) and I ordered the 9s. They fit perfectly! I have had these boots for a few weeks now, and I was waiting to write a review until I actually took these babies out on the town. I was so excited to get these, and when I first took them out of the box I was super pleased! Um...mostly. The only thing about these boots that really bothered me is that the "sock" portion is not tight enough on me. I am 5'3", 115-120lbs, and the sock hit me right at the knee (meaning it rests on my knee when I'm standing). Perfect placement, but it sticks out from my leg. It's mostly only noticeable from the side but it does stick out about an inch and a half. However, these boots are sooooooo comfortable. I truly understand what the other reviewers meant when they said that these shoes don't feel too tall. They feel like 2" not 4". I went to a birthday party at Dave and Buster's and another birthday house party in these and my feet felt great! I got several compliments on my "beautiful boots". I totally forgot about the gap at the sock and now I totally don't care. I thought about trying to fix it, but eh....they look good! Now my only concern is keeping them clean. Mine still look good but I did notice after one of the parties that I had a small scuff on the shoe, and based on the color and material, I would guess that this is the biggest danger for these shoes. Treat them well! Get these boots, they feel comfortable, look great and the color is so neutral that they can go with anything. These boots are gorgeous. I've had my eye on them all winter, so imagine my glee when they were featured in an Amazon sale. I waited anxiously for them to arrive, nearly jumped my UPS guy to get my boots unwrapped, and put them on immediately. Now imagine my sadness and frustration upon finding out that these are the single most uncomfortable pair of shoes/boots I've ever owned. After walking only two blocks my arches and calves were cramping up. After walking the six blocks to the train I was nearly in tears! I looked damn good... with the exception of my pain crumpled face. I wear heels frequently. I walk in heels frequently, living in the city it can't be avoided. Seychelles is one of my favorite brands, they are always comfortable and wearable right out of the box. For me, however, the Folklore boot is the exception. If they weren't soooo amazing looking (and if I hadn't worn them outside) I'd be sending these boots right back. The toe box is fine, the shaft is fine, the boot fits true to size and didn't cause blisters, but the outside of my foot from pinky toe to heel was so sore! The balls of my feet were sore, and even the top of my foot was sore! I'm really disappointed because it's a beautiful shoe from a good company that just isn't a good fit for me.It was love at first sight when I came across these boots. They were sitting in the window display basically screaming my name out. So what's gal to do? Go try them on! I tried on the sand color, the leather was sturdy, craftsmanship awesome, and it has a good stacked heel for comfort. It took some jedi power not to purchase them right then there. Especially since they were going for the bargain price of $300.00. Long story short, I could not stop thinking about my love for this boot, I yearned for it. So look it up online, lord behold found them on Amazon for basically a hundred bucks, plus I'm in Cali, no tax baby! Bonus! In Mr. Sheen's words since I was "WINNING", I bought two pairs. They are the most absolutely comfortable boot ever, I think I could run a mile in these things. I wear them with a plain v-neck t-shirt for a casual-I'm-not-trying sexy look. Or I will dress them up in some leggings and a hot fitted cashmere sweater. Seriously, who ever says these boots aren't comfortable, must have abnormally large ankles and calves. I am 5-6, 110, and I have plenty room to spare if I gained a few pounds. So if you're thinking about buying this boot, do it. You'll thank me later.I found these on another site but they were just too expensive so I "googled" them and I found them on Amazon Warehouse deals for around $60.00. I ended up paying around $15.00 because I also had a giftcard. The description said "used" but they looked brand new to me except for a little black spot on the bottom sole(who cares, no one will notice). At first I wasn't sure what color or size to get but after reading the reviews I decided to go with the sand colored boots and a size 9. I really liked the whiskey colored boots but I decided to go with the sand because they are just different and can be worn with anything. I am usually a 8.5 shoe size but people were complaining that they run too small. I am so glad I got them a size bigger because they fit perfect with thick socks. They are a bit loose round the calf area but that is a good thing because that makes room for when I wear them over my jeans. Also the fabric material is so warm and adds a little uniqueness to the boot. The fabric can also be folded down, which also looks cute. Sooo glad I found these boots, can't wait to wear them!!!I have probably 200+ pairs of shoes, and probably at least 30 pairs are Seychelles brand. When I saw these on a special Labor Day sale, I fell in love and since all the Seychelles sandals or pumps I owned were so great, I thought I'd give these puppies a shot. And I was not disappointed at all! I didn't think they were uncomfortable and I have had no problem fitting them over my calves. They look great with skinny jeans and I have gotten tons of compliments. My favorite part is how it looks as though you have a sock or a boot liner with them. Once again, an awesome Seychelle heel! They fit true to size, I suppose if you wanted to wear thick socks with them, they may feel a little narrow, and you would want to order a size up.
